Privacy Policy for Checkout Craft

Thank you for choosing to use Checkout Craft, a Shopify app developed by Solucommerce (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

From Store Owners:

When you install Checkout Craft, we request the minimum access required to provide our services, which may include:

  • Store Information: Store name, store domain, and email for authentication and support

  • Checkout UI Extensions Configuration: Custom settings (e.g., which blocks to display, messaging, or metafield usage)

  • Theme or Checkout Editor Access: Only if necessary for injecting display logic (in the case of legacy checkout)

We do not collect:

  • Order or transaction data

  • Payment information

  • Customer personal information (name, email, address, etc.)

From Customers (Your Buyers):

We do not collect or store any personal information from your customers. All dynamic content is rendered client-side via Shopify’s Checkout Extensibility API.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the information collected only for the following purposes:

  • To apply and display your custom content or logic inside the Shopify Checkout

  • To save your app configuration and UI customization preferences

  • To provide technical support if requested

We do not use your data for:

  • Marketing

  • Advertising

  • Behavioral tracking

  • Creating customer profiles

3. Will Your Information Be Shared?

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing purposes.

We only share information with:

  • Infrastructure providers (e.g., DigitalOcean, Cloudflare, or AWS) to host app configuration

  • Shopify, to render checkout customization using Shopify's APIs

  • Legal authorities, if required to comply with applicable laws

All third-party processors are under contract to maintain data confidentiality and security.

4. Do We Use Cookies or Tracking?

No. Checkout Craft does not use cookies, analytics tools, or any tracking scripts. We do not track customer behavior across your store or other websites.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We retain your configuration data for as long as you use the app. If you uninstall Checkout Craft, we will delete your configuration within 30 days.

We never store customer data or checkout transactions, so there is nothing to retain on that side.

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Secure cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean, Cloudflare R2)

  • TLS encryption for data in transit

  • Strict internal access controls

However, no system is 100% secure. Use Shopify’s built-in security controls to further protect your store.

7. Your Privacy Rights

You may request access to or deletion of your configuration data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. As we do not collect customer data, privacy requests from customers should be directed to the respective merchant (you).

8. Children’s Privacy

Checkout Craft is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes, we may notify you via Shopify or email.
